Gearing up for work during the Winter storms and cold weather.
Storms are hitting across the US in 2023, but we can still get the job done with suitable clothing. Epik's workwear is perfect for adapting to demanding work environments, so I would like to overview some great workwear combos that can be used in different scenarios.
Gear for the Rain
With water and slip resistance, these are my favorite options for working in cold rainy weather. To start, have a firm foundation with Pace Boots. These are polyurethane, lightweight waterproof rain boots made to outlast heavier rubber boots. Pace has a medium tread with slip resistance, and they work with balance on wet surfaces. Next, the Reflex Pro in Black works well with its heavy insulation and hood! You have to have a hood when working in the rain, and this black jacket delivers. The rest of the Reflex line doesn't include a hood. Our Black Reflex Pro has reflective piping, insulation, and a water-resistant ripstop, the perfect for staying safe in the rain. Finally, you can try our North Shell Jacket if you need something light with an 8,000 mm waterproof rating. This soft outer layer will keep your torso from getting wet.

Gear for the Snow
Epik's workwear has always been designed for subzero working conditions, with our immediate focus on equipping the cold storage industry. Here's the good thing: cold storage demands the warmest workwear. This gear is perfect for working in the snow, with heavily insulated support and convenient work features. For footwear, the Gator Boots pack impressive insulation with a focus on keeping you stable and moving. Next, you will want to suit up with our Reflex Pro Jacket, repping high visibility and over 300 GSM (grams per square meter) of insulation. If that coat is too warm, a great alternative is the Peak Pro, a heavy hoodie armored with Cordura for extra protection. For your legs, you can get more insulation with Reflex Pants. If you want a full bib overall setup, I recommend the Relfex Bib Overalls, pairing best with a Peak hoodie. Finally, for your head and hands, check out some of Epik's great beanies and gloves. Our heavy Thermal beanie has four layers; I can personally attest that it is warm!

Gear for Construction
Construction can be brutal in cold weather. Not only are you limited by the harsh conditions, but clouds in the sky usually limit visibility. So take visibility and warmth seriously by taking advantage of our hi-vis workwear. Our new Agile Jackets in orange and yellow have ultra-thin, effective insulation and an ANSI class 2 visibility rating. They are also constructed with a flexible ripstop, helping durability while you work on the most challenging jobs. Our Peak 2.0 hoodies provide a more conventional solution with the same ANSI class 2 rating. B Grip gloves can support your gear with economic orange and grey cut-resistant options. If you want something that will last more than a few shifts, our leather-insulated Polar Touch gloves provide incredible warmth with a classic grip. Finally, for footwear, the Libra Shoe comps a classic high top with slip resistance and a composite safety toe for foot protection.
